Intervention
Life Back Intervention is an intervention service with professional crisis interventionist that are dedicated to helping your loved one overcome the addictions that are destroying them. When your loved one has developed an addiction to alcohol, drugs, gambling, or eating, they do not recognize that they have an addiction problem that is greatly affecting the way they live. Watching a family member, friend or co-worker self destruct is extremely painful especially when they do not seem to understand the severity of their disease. When you see him/her you know that something needs to be done to stop the addiction. An Intervention is the answer. Intervention, when conducted by a trained professional is 96% successful in convincing the addict to change by getting the treatment that is necessary.
Treatment Works
Treatment works, but getting the individual to treatment is not easy. The problem usually is not readily identifiable and often times you are too close to the problem to be helpful. Family members, corporate colleagues and corporate managers are not in the business of treatment. A qualified professional intervention specialist is.
Here Are Some Questions That Need To Be Answered:
- What needs to be done before moving forward with an intervention?
- When is the right time?
- What are the risks?
- How many intervention participants should there be?
- How should the individual be approached? What if they refuse?
- What if the person walks out when he or she sees the group?
- What if he or she will not accept treatment?
- if he or she does accept treatment? What happens then?
- The intervention is described as a process. When does the process conclude?
- Are interventions with teens, women, and men different?
Intervention was Introduced by Dr. Vernon E. Johnson twenty-five years ago
Johnson did not believe that an alcoholic needed to “hit rock bottom” before recovery. He introduced the concept of intervention by family, friends, and employers. He supported “early intervention”, because it interrupted the progression of the disease of addiction before the disease completely destroyed the addicts life.
